Though the difference is slight, there is a difference between the type of stuff you should put on blog posts compared to blog pages. Pages are normally for “top-level” topics, or topics that are a key part of your website (in this case, your business) and they're usually timeless. Blog posts are usually more specific and are frequently (but not always) more current and time sensitive.
For general blogging, Paul Bradshaw has a great article on his OnlineJournalismBlog. This isn’t real estate specific but it gives some good starting points. I’m not sure about #6, Pick a Fight, for real estate professionals, but the rest of them seem pretty good.
If your real estate website is set up the right way, it makes it easy to add blog posts and they fit in without being too overbearing and making your website lack focus. You’ll figure out pretty quick that there’s a lot of stuff you know a lot about. The world will never know how much of a local expert you are if you don’t tell them.
How lame would it be if you finally get into it and you reach your limit on the number of pages you can have? Really lame, we agree. That’s why we’ll never limit the number of pages or post you can add to your website.
